put your mouse over a word in safari

now press control+apple key + D

ding dang doo

Cool, now it works without having Dictionary running, too. It didn't do that before, did it?

It didn't do that before, in the sense of before Tiger... But it has done that since 10.4.0.

That works in almost any app in Tiger (I use it a lot in Safari and Adium).

Nice.

Unfortunately, its one of those features I'll file somewhere at the back of my mind and the next time I need a definition I'll automatically hit google. Habits die hard. 🙄 😀

I use it all the time. I actually think it's helped develop my slightly mediocre vocabulary a little. 🙂

😱 I just did it over the word "Microsoft" in the advertisement above on this page, and Safari unexpectedly quit. I reopened and tried again, but no entries were found.
