Well....I've known something was a little bit wrong for a while now. Last night, I closed my ibook after using it (putting it to sleep) and i looked at it a few minutes later and it wasn't "breathing".

So I tried CPR on it (resetting it) and ran the hardware tests. Nothing came up. I tried a few of the suggestions on the apple website for "ibook won't boot past the blue screen" but none of them worked. I took it to the genius bar this morning.

They tried to boot it from a USB disk and it still wouldn't go past the blue screen. They said that means it's the logic board. So I agreed to have it repaired for $290. (no applecare. it was a refurb and i just didn't bother. oh well!)

I wonder why the hardware test didn't pick up on the logic board issue? I ran it two times....
