I am looking to purchase a new iMac, and want to move my PBG3 to wireless duty for surfing in the living room. It has an old Airport Card.
My question...
I would prefer to keep my iMac connected to an ethernet cable. Early versions of the Airport software permitted a software base station, but that seems to be gone in OSX.
Is there a way, with only Apple prodcuts, that I can connect my iMac directly to my cable modem and have my PB wireless and share my Internet connection.
Does the Airport Extreme base station have an ethernet out? That would be to simple.
I'd prefer not to have to buy a LinkSys router.
Thanks in advance
