I have a major issue with my Powerbook. Everytime I try load up a .dmg file, the computer attempts to mount it, and then I get an error message saying "Disk Copy helper unexpectedly terminated." At first I thought it was a problem with those specific .dmg files but it does that to every single one I aquire, including iMovie 3 and Quicktime 6 dmgs. Has anyone had this problem before? I desperately need to fix this. I've tried running a virus scan and no difference. I'm running a 1Ghz Powerbook on OS 10.2.3. Any help from anyone would be greatly apprecitated. thanks!

Drop it unto stuffit expander

Some times when I have problems dmg's I dropp them there even if they weren't compressed at all, but it sends it to disc copy and I get no errors

yeah, I already tried dragging the file into Disc Copy and I get the same message. it's a lame situation, but thanks. oh and I'm glad you like my sig. i dig it. 😎

try skipping the verification step. it somewhere under Disk Copy's preferences.

oh and i love your sig. man, where did you get that from? 😀

You could try the "mount" command in the terminal, but I'm not sure of the syntax of that in OS X.
