Audio Encoding from tape

Are there any programs out there that will allow me to record from an external microphone plugged into the line in jack on my powerbook? I tried N2MP3 but that is crap and just kept crashing for seemingly no reason. Anyway if there is an alternative I hope someone out there knows about it.

Here is a simple, free app to do it: Audio In... if you want a better (but shareware) one.. Audio X...

You really should check these things at VersionTracker.. they have a list of almost every Mac shareware/freeware...

If you are under Clasic got to www.digidesign.com and get the Protools free. It will be a bit complicated to start but I just made and entire borad cast quality CD with it🙂
