iTunes convert AAC to MP3

O-K

If i've imported somthing as an AAC file, why does it give me the option under
ADVANCED to CONVERT SELECTION TO AAC?

There already in AAC!

😕

I want to convert it some songs to MP3 so my girlfriend can listen to them at work.

Any advice?

iTunes -->
Preferences -->
Advanced -->
Importing -->
Change from AAC to MP3.

Then go back and it should say "convert selection to mp3".
