I was toying around with speech and voiceovr, and it seems i put a setting on that makes it say:


Login Widow Tom's Computer

Tom
Password added securitext.

I find this very annoying,
please hep,.

Gah! Plymouth
Command + F5 or go to the voiceover utility and play with that

and if lots of speech starts to happen do the first thing again

either its in the voiceover in system preferences >> Universal Access. or it is in the Voiceover Utility. Thats the only two places it can be, that i know of

actually the place is in login options.

uncheck the "use voiceover at login window".

I bet thats your problem.

thanks very much I've had this problem since I updated to the first Tiger update that came with both Intel and PPC compatibility... or maybe i turned it on by mistake! thanks anyway!
