you cant put windows on a powerbook unless you use virtual pc. now if you meant macbook pro then yes it should work just fine. Using virtual pc i am not sure if or how well those programs will work. |

I don't see why not if you use Boot Camp. Oh, and you mean a MacBook Pro, not a PowerBook.
Wait till others more knowledgeable chime in though - there may be some out there with similar experiences.

ADS Tech DVD Xpress DX2 Video Converter will not work under Mac OSX. It will perform fine under Windows XP.
Your Hard Drives will "most likely" be only readable under Mac OSX. You Can read/write to them via Windows XP. Iriver MP3 players are formated FAT32 so they can be read/written to under Mac OSX and Windows XP. Whether or not you can add songs under Mac OSX though is up the software which I have no experience with. Under Windows XP should work perfectly. DLA... Roxio makes the software... but it doesn't look like they don't support DLA on the Macintosh. I've done this using Apetec products in the 90s - though all my old disks seem to read in Mac OSX, ever write to the CD I did shows up as a seperate CD. So if I stick in one of these old CDs I get somewhere in the neighborhood of 16 or so volumes mounted on the desktop. Depends on how many times I added to the CD in Windows. Roxio makes a software called Toast which has a similar feature but it is unknown whether they are compatible. Windows XP should have no problems with DLA as long as you install your Roxio software there.

I also have a pocket pc.So everything I have will work on a mac with windows xp.The hard drives I have are buslink and Maxtor.I am considering buying one if everything I have works. The dvd writer I have is a HP300e and it uses dla. That is the only thing I was wondering about if a powerbook can read it?
