is there anyone to shut off the keyboard light for the macbook?

Another way to do it is the F8 key. (Unless they changed it from the PB to the MBP, which i doubt).

Yep, it's still F8. You should even be able to toggle between on and off states with F8 while in lighter conditions, (so you aren't fumbling in the dark for the right key).
