I am in the market for a EOS 30D just wondering if this was a good package?
As a very happy owner of a now ancient (in technology years) 10D (The 30D's grandfather?), my short answer would be yes.
However, your needs and reason for buying it are unique so I'd recommend that:
a) You post some more information about why you're buying the camera, what you'll be using it for, etc. - i.e. If you're looking for a point-and-shoot (It doesn't sound like you are, but who knows) maybe a 30D is overkill
b) You visit sites like
http://www.dpreview.com,
http://www.steves-digicams.com, etc. for more information. I use the former as my primary source of information but have found that the people who post on the forums are very particular sometimes (Most likely because they're professionals)
Cheers...
