Are you sure it isn't in your applications folder? It comes with every copy of Tiger. Unless you deleted it it should still be there.

Most of what we think of as iChat AV are parts of QuickTime. You should be able to just copy the app from another Tiger Mac.

Has no one read mkrishnan post? This is the easiest, quickest, and most legal way to install iChat.
 
thanks all again i actually deleted it...i got a friend to send me the panther version but there are no upgrades available to the tiger version. my tiger disk is at a friends and will just have to do it tomorrow at work thanks.
