so they're saying that, hypothetically of course, the best way to make a digital music player would be to have it be just a digital music player, not a phone, not an address book, not a web surfing gadget, not a....

hmm. Wonder where they came up with this idea?

Wow, they explained how to be simple very complexly, something tells me they will fail.

Well the original GUI did come from Xerox PARC.

I dont know if it will work, the reason I love my cellphone is because it does so much but doesnt force me to use the things I dont want to use. Same with the ipod, I never user the callendar function, but its there, its not in my face.

People dont want clutter in their pockets, but they also want that single device to be easy to use while providing all the features they happen to want and need... consumers are difficult!
