Copying Stuff from one Mac to another....

I'd look into Applications->Utilities->Migration Assistant if I were you. 🙂
Just plain copying over everything can be problematic. I'd recommend installing the applications except for those simple ones which have no prefs, etc. It doesn't take all that long.
And, of course, follow licensing restrictions.
