HID Joystick Interface

Hi guys,
I m using "HID Manager Basics" source code provided by apple.com to trace the signal of gamepad and joystick. It works fine in case of gamepad but in case of joystick it is able to show the allinformation regarding that device but unable to trace the signal of that. So plz tell me what could be the possible reasons of that and how can we cure that.
Thanks in advance
