Hey! my first intel kernel panic! This is soooo exciting!

Anyway... could someone describe what this means so I can prevent it in the future? I was mounting a dmg at the time.

Ouch! Scary stuff.

I always feel like I've been punched in the stomach when I get a kernal panic. It's only happned five or six times on three machines in the past six years.

They should make a new screen shot for the kernel panic so it's not so damn frightening looking......:p

I used to get em all the time before I swapped out my bad RAM.....everytime the window would appear my stomach would flutter, and I would feel sick.....

not sure why....I think it's that big scary black screen, with all the languages on it.....

maybe a big happy mac logo that said something like "woops, I'm confused and/or excited....please try again...have a nice day :) "

i've had 3 already on my macbook and they are all headphone-related ???

on three occasions a kernel panic occurred when i removed headphones from the headphone port. it doesn't happen all the time, but it has happened three times...i've reported it to apple. anyone else get this??

Hm, I haven't had that problem with the headphone port, but I have had the occasional kernel panic when I wake it up from sleep.

:D :D That would be great!

I've only had one KP with my Intel iMac, and that was when I was playing around with the first beta of Parallels.

I had little snitch installed on my old PB, and when I switched everything over to my MBP, it caused a panic everytime I started the computer up. Luckily, someone on here had the same problem and let me know how to fix it :)

as for the OP, I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it happens again. somtimes, computers just get a bit confused :)
