Well, I have an address.. not that I have ever been there

Buy Vouchers from Amazon.com, pay with your credit card, get the number shipped via e-mail (All Marketplace sellers I have used have done this for me).

Once you have the code, go onto the US Store, click Redeem, when it asks you to sign in, create a new account with your 'address', then voila, you have an iTMS US account with $15 credit.

Of course, you must live in the US to shop at the US store, but you know that, right?

Surprisingly great news! CSI is going to be great! I wonder if they'll ever release the Amazing Race to the iPod ... I love that show.

CSI and Survivor aren't what's important. The important thing is that CBS is now on iTunes. That means all four major networks are selling content through Apple.

Someone a while ago, told me a place where i could buy "US" iTunes cards, therefore allowing me to buy american content, but i have lost this website. Does anyone know what i am taking about, cos i would really love to download Survivor!

I will not criticize anyone's choice of TV viewing for being different from mine. I have been known to watch Doctor Who. Who am I to judge?

But I have to say, the concept of buying and owning reality TV episodes chills me to the bone.

I'll Bet My EyeTV HD to Toast Image to Handbrake FFmpeg 2-Pass Are Better Quality

I'll Bet My EyeTV HD Off Air Recordings to Toast Image to Handbrake FFmpeg 2-Pass iPod compatible encodes are better quality than what they sell. Starting at over 5GB, they net 351MB (half a CD) and look fantastic. And they are FREE.

EyeTV HD and Toast. You have a funny definition of the word "free"

So, the big arrangement with Google wasn't the iTunes killer that it was made out to be, huh?

~Oh great transcoding master, I bow down before you.~

I'm glad these finally dropped. We've been working on this for weeks and I haven't been able to talk about it here, much as I wanted to.

Your quality is probably very similar, in fact, iTMS might have you beat. We started with uncompressed HD (SRW-5000s) and did all the mastering there. Apple's delivery specs are a little whacky, they must be planning SD content for the iTMS. I can't vouch for the final downres/transcode, Apple insists on doing that themselves, but I promise you the files we started with were superior to what you managed to get on your EyeTV HD (I didn't even know those existed, have to check that out later...).

Used to really like the Dr. when I was a kid--the new show seems to have a better budget but also far more corny. Alas, I miss tom baker...

How and when does everyone else use their video? I get using it for vacation or maybe catching that 1 episode that you missed. Is everyone a regular user or off n on? I just find it easier to catch the episodes on regular basis or record them.

EyeTV 500 Digital Tuner captures the full 1920 x 1080p - mp4 624x352 Is Better Encode

Well I know they don't sell 16:9 and I know they don't sell encodes to maximum NON H.264 dimensions so they will interpolate up to a TV looking like DVDs (624x352) vs 320x240 (what Apple sells) so congrats on the masters, but I'm sure Apple is only selling 4:3 fuzzy SD H.264 junk.

And by the way, an EyeTV 500 Digital Tuner captures the full 1920 x 1080p so it isn't significantly different than what you delivered to Apple. EyeTV Preference let's us see the 1080i as progressive.

But you have a very cool job. You hiring?

Not trying to be arguementative when I ask this, please don't get defensive. Where does your signal come from? Is it broadcast? Satellite? DigiCable? Does your EyeTV HD capture a discreet 5.1?

Speaking of which, does a iPod have the capability of playing back anything more that a stereo audio signal?

Hehehe. That's what all my friends ask. To tell you the truth, I don't even know how I got hired. One of those things where someone called someone who called someone else who called me...

I bought the season of CSI Miami for my flight back from China. It kept me well entertained until my second battery ran out. (And United, which sucks in more ways than one, still uses the old power plugs in the chairs...)

I am glad more and more content is coming available. I don't mind paying a little bit to be able to watch shows on my schedule.

Broadcast to a TERK TV5 antenna. Yes it captures discrete digital 5.1 audio as well as the analog Dolby Surround 4.1 in the encode.

No but the signal includes analog Dolby Surround 4.1 in the stereo.

Lol, ain't that the truth. On a similar note, does anyone else feel the momentum of the iTMS slowing down? Sure there is more content than ever, but it seems less interesting now than before. I guess some of the novelty has worn off.
