I wanted to add a link to three RAM pages (Buying, Installing, Testing) from "Category:Hardware" page. It does not have an indication of being locked that I can see anywhere on the page, but when I click on "edit" tab on top, it opens up a completely blank page, it does not start with the source for the existing page. I've tried two other pages and they work fine. Anyways, I am guessing Category:xxx pages are created automatically, but it would be nice if we could add some internal links manually so that it would look something like:

R
RAID
RAM, buying
RAM, installing
RAM, testing

PS: "RAID" link is already there.

Is this possible? Well, of course if such an edit is desirable in the first place.

Category pages are generated automatically (except for the introduction which is what you see when you edit a category page). To add a page to (for example) the Hardware category, you need to add [[Category:Hardware]] to the article itself.

You can sort the items like you want by using, for example, [[Category:Hardware|RAM, Buying]], which tells it to sort the article as if the name was "RAM, Buying" instead of "Buying RAM". Unfortunately this doesn't change the displayed name on the category page, only its sorting, so you'd see something like this:

R
RAID
Buying RAM
Installing RAM
Testing RAM

I don't think there's a way to change the name displayed in the category page, so sorting it like this would probably make it more confusing.
