Help me start folding!

Hello,

I've been reading macrumors for a while but I'm a pretty new member. What is 'folding'?? I've got quite a few computers and I'd be happy to help out the Macrumors folding team. However, I have no idea what it is or how to do it. Please help out a newb!🙂 😱
