It's supposed to be a teaser but seems more like a trailer. Looks impressive. I hope it raises the bar with special effects and continues the great story line. What do you guys think?

whoo, fantastic, I can't wait to see it. I've been a huge spidey fan since I was a younger kid, pretty much for as long as I can remember, so it's been well over 20 years now.

Wow! I get a bit worried with every big super hero film thinking that eventually someone is going to screw it up. But the more I hear about Spiderman 3, the more excited I get.

Stopped reading Spider-man before the introduction of Venom, so I don't really have any relations to him, but I cannot wait to see this film...

Harry is the second Green Goblin, in both the original comics and the cartoon. The Hobgoblin was a mercenary hired by Norman Osborn who ran off with the armor.

In the Ultimate Spider-Man retelling, however, Harry is the Hobgoblin. That's the only version of Spider-Man where he is the Hobgoblin, though it's possible they may make Harry the Hobgoblin in Spider-Man 3 just for simplicity, he'll probably just be Green Goblin 2.

It's Gwen Stacy.

But...Norman Osborn is already dead, so he can't kill her. Wonder how that's gonna work? Will Norman Osborn return from the grave as he did in the comics?

It went something like this:

Norman: I'm baaaack!

Norman: Uhm...I have, uh, Super-Healing?

I hear they are spending/have spent over $300 million on this - a new record - so it better be good.

I have to check out Superman Returns first, however - one superhero movie at a time....

There is no Venom in that teaser and I doubt there will be any sign of Venom in the movie, it's just the symbiote suit. They can't jump into Venom without ever having shown the suit first on Peter Parker and there is no way to fit that story into one movie.
Should be good though!

Is this definitely the last of the Spidermans?

Thanks for the breakdown I'll have to watch the trailer again on apple's website instead of youtube when I get home.

Rumor has it that Venom will be shown fully as Venom (Eddie Brock + Symbiote) in the last ten minutes of the movie as setup for #4.

wait....maybe i am just behind on my spider-man mythology, but I thought that shot of spiderman and the black stuff WAS the venom suit? Or am I very, very, confused?

Venom was given life when the suit that Peter Parker wore bonded with Eddie Brock. When Peter Parker wore the suit he was always still known as Spiderman, but when the suit (which is an alien and has a mind of it's own) started to exert a negative influence on Parker he decided to ditch the suit and that is when it found Brock and became Venom. Other people have become Venom such as The Scorpion.
