10.4.7 in Software Update

As I said...

133MB for my Macbook. It's a biggie.

So it is (MBP, also 133MB). Woah, for an incremental update, that's HUGE.

I wonder if it's automatically doing a "combo" install on the newer MacBooks and Pros, since they haven't undergone an update at all yet.

Well, the Combo updater page is up on Apple's site, but the links to the downloads don't work yet (pretty much par for the course for the first day, if memory serves):

Hopefully this will get rid of the strange background noises I get when I import songs into iTunes!

One thing I noticed in the description page on the Apple site is this:

Quote:
You may experience unexpected results if you have third-party system software modifications installed, or if you've modified the operating system through other means. (This does not apply to normal application software installation.)
Guess that means folks who use Shapeshifter and the likes should be careful when updating.

Took a long time to go from the blue screen immediately after startup to the desktop and bring up the menu bar... It happened but it was a while.

No other problems though

I'm back up and running...reboot took four minutes on my 1.67 GHz PB. A little bit of concern about the length of time it spent on the blue screen, but the desktop eventually came up. Safari now at 2.0.4...haven't had a chance to look around at anything else.

Unfortanatly they do not list the "Firewire Bug." The whole computer freezes on intel based macs when used with certain firewire chipsets.
