Whenever my Mac goes to sleep ( I am using a Powerbook) it disconnects me from the internet because when i wake it up I am logged out of iChat and my mail is offline. I think there is a setting that is doing this but I dont know what. Can anyone help me?

Yeah, whenever you put it to sleep the internet connection disconnects. There's no way I know of getting around this either.

sleep mode is basically turning your computer off. everything is dumped into the ram for safekeeping and you do disconnect. there is no way around this.

your only other option would be to just turn off the display if thats why you sleep it and leave everything else running, i suppose thats one option.

Yesssss, that is a good option. But if I only knew how to do it...
Go into System Prefs.>Energy Saver and set "Put display to sleep when computer is inactive for:"
