Hiya,
We all use apple laptops here, and we've had problems with our company mailbox filling up. This puzzled me as all laptops run mail.app (latest version) and it is set to delete messages older than 1 week from the server.
I investigated and found it is NOT doing this. There was mail up to a year old on the server.
Selecting 'delete all mail from server now' works, but is not desireable on a regular basis as the office powermac independently downloads and backs up all mail to its own mail.app storage space.
(Explanation: When the command 'delete all mail from server now' is made on one machine, then the other computer [either the client laptop or the backup powermac] will miss mail that has arrived since it last checked the server.)
Is this a bug in Mail.app? How can I make sure mail over a week old is deleted from the server?
