Hi does anyone know how to assign a key to fuction as the eject botton? The reason I asked is because the keyboard I have does not have an eject key but still need to be able to eject.

Thanks

not sure what kind of keyboard u have but with my microsoft usb keyboard I can go into system preferences / microsoft keyboard then assign any key to be the eject button or go into system preferences / keyboard and mouse / keyboard shortcuts(the second being the most likey to work for you.

There's a way to do the same thing without the keyboard: install the Eject menulet.

Open System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras. Inside there, double-click Eject.menu.

Now look at your menu bar, and you'll find the new Eject icon. Use it as a menu and choose the drive you'd like to eject.

Of course, you'd need to de-assign Exposé first, right?
Heh, I forgot about that. The one (working) computer in my house that doesn't have a eject button, also doesn't have Tiger on it.
