Do stand alone tv dvd recorders work as a Mac DVD-R?
Do stand alone tv dvd recorders work as a Mac DVD-R? Meaning, can I use the IEEE 1394 firewire input on the unit as an external Mac DVD-R drive to burn data dvds?
e.g. set top boxes like this one: http://www.mydropshipsource.com/prod...o.php?pid=3408 |

It's extremely unlikely... the firewire input will be for video cameras....

This obviously doesn't help if you're trying to burn a data DVD, but if you just want to dump some vid to DVD, it's pretty nice. -rand()
