Editing iphotos in photoshop

I upload my photos to iphoto, fine. Then rotate, crop and tweak using Photoshop. However when I save these (not changing the path), only the original photos appear in iphoto.
Is there a way round this or should I upload to my mac, edit in PShop and then add to iphoto.
 
One post is enough... it's a Sunday morning, it's a quiet time. Someone will get back to you - in fact, I already have 😉
