Hey ya all! Great site! I'm hoping for a definitive answer here.....My Firewire Pismo needs more hard drive.......20 would do it--but more would be good too......

Can it be done? Macmall says no......Apple store clerk says yes but it ain't easy......another clerk said buy the IBM drive (60 gbs) and just pop it in.

Any ideas on where to go and what to buy?????

Thanks!

doesnt matter where you go

Yes... it can be done... and no... you cant just "pop" it in. you have to remove the keybord and other parts to get to it. If you feel confortable doing that your self... go for it. If you dont.. pay sone one to do it for you.

As for the size for the drive?... get the bigest one you can. Drives are cheep and you will just want to get bigger one latere one anyway. That is unless your thinking about upgrading to a new Powerbook soon... they you might want to save a buck or 2

by the way.... welcome to forum !!
