An Application that finds mutiple copies of songs and deletes them???

An Application that finds mutiple copies of songs and deletes them??? I say some app in macaddict but I forgot the name. It organizes and deletes songs that I have more then one of!!! Anyone know that name or names of apps that can do this???? Thanks
 
You can try MP3Rage, it is available at here . Another possibility is to use AppleScript to do the job. A good archive can be found here . Specifically you might want to look at this file. From its description, This script will help you determine if you have duplicates of the same song on your local volumes by providing track info and sampling, plus assistance in removing duplicate tracks and deleting duplicate files.

well, if it did it for photos, it would basically be doing it for any files. And in some cases that wouldn't be a good idea.

Thanks mp3Rage was what I was looking for... Just didn't remember the name

the link you referenced for the applescript duplicate trasher, it's a pain.

you still have to manually go through and pick 2 songs you think are the same. it's just as easy to do it yourself, as this does not automate the process.

I did not know that. I am picky about my music library so I do most things manually. I have used some of the scripts off that page before with some success and I just figured that they would all be of similar quality. Glad to know they are not, I will have to start looking at those scripts more carefully when I use them next time.

This couldn't be that hard to program, if someone has any
programming skills, I bet they could do it. Unfortunately, I can
barely make a source file 🙁 😉 😀.
