Microsoft Word for Mac problems

Can anyone offer any suggestions on why my Microsoft Word for Mac crashes so often?
I've increased the memory more than double the suggested. The preferred is the same as
minimum. Another querk is that it crashes rather often when I attempt to print.

it's because it's a Microsoft product. Use AppleWorks, OpenOffice, ThinkFree, Mellel, Keynote or some other alternatives 😀

Did you install all the updates from Microsoft? That fixed similiar problems for me.

Office for OSX rocks!

What system are you running?

Asimov13 mentioned increasing the allocated memory, so I pressume he is using Mac OS 9.
But if he uses Office 98, well I hope he has done all the upgrades.... (4 of 'em?)
Office 2001 only had one service pack, if I remember correctly, and it was pretty stable on Mac OS 9.1 and up.
