Ive inherited a G3 400mhz slot loader and am currently trying to make use of the VGA out. To rule out any problems with the mac, is there anything I have to do other than connect an appropriate cable to use it?
I have a feeling the problem is with the monitor switch I have (a trendnet kvm switch which draws power from ps/2 ports). I already have 2 pc's plugged and assumed that since 2 boxes are supplying power it would be fine to use one slot monitor only.
I suppose the next step is to get hold of a proper power supply for it and try it then, but if you could help me rule out anything else Id be grateful
Edit - I hadnt actually tried the vga out direct to my monitor (duh)... that worked fine, so the problem is the switch
