Hi All, I haven't heard ay rumors about the Macbook Pro, could there be a processor update on the way? I start school on the 20th and I'm trying to wait until the next update to buy.

If you wait too long, you might miss out on the free iPod.
Also, it might be possible that the new MBPs will not be eligible for the free iPod. (Like the iMacs)

I know, but I don't want to buy a computer just for the free ipod b/c
1. they're coming out with a new ipod right?
and
2. what's the point of buying an outdated machine.
plus
The free ipod promotion concludes on the 16th, so if no new mbp arent released buy then, I'll prolly get one and trade in the ipod for the updated model.
Just wondering if there were any rumors of mbp's update for the 12 or not, Thanks

You gotta evaluate what's more important to you, getting it cheap with the free iPod, or having the latest and greatest. You might get a outdated machine with the promo, but it is like a... $179 discount, which is almost 15% off, so why not? If I were you I'd have bought it under the promo first, resell it sealed on eBay, and then put the funds towards the MBP or whatever that comes out, but it is too late for that now.
Sadly I doubt there will be a 12" MBP, I too am looking forward for that.

Ummm... perhaps he knows what he was talking about when he said
The 12th, you know... the date coming up next week... the apple event named "showtime".
he wanted to know if there were any rumors about MBP then, which we have to say no -- there have no been recent rumors about the MBP getting an update on the 12th, sorry (i want one too)
