With soooo many different types of RAM in the market, what are the specifications for a RAM that would work with Macbook Pro?
Is it SO-DIMM or SDRAM or what and what is meant by PC100, PC133, PC2700 DDR, PC2-5300 DDR2 etc.?

Is there any thread on how to choose RAM for the MBP? I came across a few threads but they were basically discussing the manufacturers of RAM rather than explaining the specifications.

I recently purchased a 1GB module for my MBP from buy.com--cost about $90.00 and shipped free. I thought that was a pretty good deal for non-generic RAM.

I got one of the (non-OEM) 1GB modules from MemoryTen for my 2.0 Ghz MBP and have had no problems. The performance increase (I usually run a lot of apps at the same time) was substantial and quite welcome.
