Basically, I want to get rid of any and all traces of my music before I send my nano back to apple. I just got it but I dont want it anymore and Im returning it. Ive looked online, but I cant seem to find out how to reformat or hard reset the nano so it wont have any trace of my activity on it. Can someone help me out ASAP? I need to send it back ASAP.

In your head.
Apple don’t care what's on your iPod, unless you have kitty porn.

I am serious about the latter. They are only legally compelled to inform the authorities about that.

As far as setting the iPod back to pristine factory conditions, hard reset it, erase drive (single write of zeros) via Disk Utility, and then run the iPod Up dater.
