Disable "album artist" in iTunes 7

So, Apple decided to add this "feature" which is nice and all but it changes the modified date when iTunes updates this field.

How do I prevent this from happening?
 
Is iTunes updating the album artist tag by itself or are you adding those tags to the file yourself? Can you use Data Added instead for whatever you are useing the date field?

iTunes is adding it by itself.

I prefer to use date modified because if I reformat my mac I can still keep the same order.
