Boot Camp 1.1.1 Released

Just went to download Boot Camp for my iMac C2D and noticed the file size is about 10% smaller. Boot Camp 1.1.1 has been released and is only 186MB; IIRC the previous version was 202MB. From the website:

i use a apple wireless kb and i cant access the drivers.

Wow, glad to hear that they are moving this along fast.

it keeps getting better and better. can't wait to get it running. wont be hurrying as most everything i need is mac. except some games.

Would be nice to let Windows and Mac run at same time on same machine for later versions

If you're on XP you can download dmg2iso to convert the DMG to an ISO and then use something else to mount the ISO or burn it:

Why not just go into the bootcamp pkg, mount the dmg, and pull the installer out to your bootcamp volume?

Sounds like to me he's running only Windows on his Mac, and so that's not an option since Windows can't open DMGs.

Yes someone please test this on the Mac Pro. I have two questions regarding the new BootCamp:

1. Is a slipstreamed XP disk w/SATA drivers still needed?

2. Can you install XP on a RAIDed Setup now?

If anyone can test this, that would be awesome. My new Mac Pro is on the FedEx truck right now and it will be here tomorrow so I can test it but if anyone else already knows please post your results.

So...has anyone done a driver update in Windows yet? I remember 1.1 screwing over 1.0.2 and requiring a reinstallation of Windows.

so why do you need bootcamp? If you have a Mac, download it off the Mac. simple

EDIT. I re-read your first post. Bootcamp allows a Mac to run Windows. This latest update improves funtions.

You're using a windows machine with Apple Hardware, so bootcamp has no purpose for you. The drivers are somewhat of a incompatability issue i guess.

As long as you have drivers for the card, it will work just fine. An ExpressCard is just a PCI Express card or a USB 2.0-connected device in a different form factor. The Boot Camp driver disk installs the latest drivers for the Intel chipset used in the MacBook Pro for both the PCI Express and the USB 2.0 busses. But even without the latest Intel drivers, PCI Express devices and USB 2.0 devices should be recognized just fine. (Again, as long as you have Windows drivers for the CARD.)

For example, my USB-connected ExpressCard memory card reader works just fine in Windows through Boot Camp, no drivers needed, since it's a standard USB mass storage device.

Yes. Just booted back into OS X after installing Win XP Home for the first time on my iMac C2D (using Boot Camp 1.1.1) and looked at the clock. It was 7 hours late. I opened the Data & Time pref panel and it immediately updated to the correct time.
