Hi,

I've just got my 17-inch powerbook, which is my first mac, and I'm not sure if I've got all of the discs that should come with it. I just got one disc called something like software restore, which I had to insert the first time I booted up.

I saw the stack of disks that came with a friends ibook, and started to think that I'm missing some, like hardware check etc? I know that the ibook comes with all sorts of other software like appleworks etc, that the powerbook doesn't, but did everyone else just get one disc?

Thanks,

Pedro

i'm pretty sure you get a software restore DVD rather than a bunch of cds like an iBook. Be happy your life is simplified. I beleive they do this for all superdrive pbooks and pmacs now just oen software restore DVD rather than 3 individual ones, i'm jealous i've reisntalled many times, that must be conveinent.
