It's getting all choppy. I've got a 1.5 ghz G4 with 512mb of ram. I've also got the 128 mb 9700 card, so I'm curious as to why it's not working too well. Do just need more ram or something? Quicktime is the only thing open right now too.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong. But, I believe the G4 cannot do HD video. You need either a G5 or an intel mac to do so.

***Whoops, someone already correct me, lol.***

A 480 really ought to play okay on that machine. Can you fire up Activity Monitor from your Utilities folder and see if anything is eating up resources under the CPU and memory tabs?

Yeah, check your activity monitor and also make sure your hard drive isn't too full. I have the same exact setup and mine plays 480p just fine. Good luck!

You are. They can generally do 480p just fine. My 1ghz with the Nvida GeForce whatever it is does 480p fine.
