Problem with Airport Card/Network

I can't get onto a network through my iMac. The iMac can see the network in the preferred networks listing, and I select the network but it won't connect to the network. I've tried to connect by manually typing it in and also have tried the network assistant.

What am I doing wrong? I am figuring this is a simple answer which I am just not seeing
 
Is it a secured wireless network? If it uses WEP, then you might need to put a dollar sign ($) before the password. 🙂
