i have some old mail accounts from my previous job, but the darn things wont erase. i tried to delete them in the app, but it doesnt erase. then i went into the mail folder and deleted the folders in there, but it just remakes it. any advice?

i also got a new job, so i was trying to setup my new work email address, but it wont work. i followed the directions but when i input the 'mail.example.com' field with my company's name, it says it cant find the server.

Did you delete the accounts through Preferences or did you just try to delete them through the Mail app window? :)

You might need to contact your work's IT section for the last bit because they might only allow access from their own network.

No worries mate. Sometimes it's cool to clear out some of the accompanying SMTP servers too, although this isn't essential. You can do this through the Edit Server List option in the drop down list beside SMTP. Of course, there's no real benefit in doing this but some people prefer the cleanliness. :)
