How can I set the default player for video is to VLC player. I unchecked all the boxes in Quicktime but when i right click on a file, it still says "Quicktime (Default)"
Can some one help please. Quicktime is slow as crap plus it doesnt have enough codecs unless u pay them a ridiculously amount of money. Anyway, any help will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely
Neo

right click on one of your video files and open the "get info" dialog; then change the option in the drop down "open with" menu, then click on the "change all" button to apply settings to all like video files.

i did what you said, it worked

wahooo

I just bought a video camera that is not really compatible with my Mac, then found VLC and yeahhhh now I can watch them on my computer AND now I just figured out how to make VLC my default player for them.

Thanks for my first wicked experience on this forum. Looking forward to many more!
