CPUB Fail LED
I still have crashing problems I have posted earlier about. MP (2.6 x1900 1gb mem) still hangs up during games and occasionaly I get graphic glitches like this.
http://www.elias.pietila.fidisk.fi/screen2.png http://www.elias.pietila.fidisk.fi/screen1.png The thing that I noticed during one of these crashes is that my skype conversation continued although the game and system totally froze up. Then I poped open the lid on the side and saw CPUB Fail led shining. Does anyone have a clue how "bad" is it to have a cpu fail led light up. Is it a sign of a dead processor or does it happen to all the suckers. Last edited by evp; Oct 17, 2006 at 06:11 AM. |

I had errors like this on my old 6800 AGP Ultra in an old PC of mine. Shortly afterward it started showing corruption on boot and the machine wouldn't boot at all.
If I were you I would back up all my data immediately and contact Apple. It doesn't look like a CPU error to me since these look like graphics errors but it could be a faulty logic board. Its bad news though.
