usb mouse on Macbook
I just bought a generic usb mouse to use on the Macbook for games on windows, but neither Os recognize the mouse. Also would the mighty mouse work right out of the box?

mighty mouse (being an apple product) will work right out of the box, as do most other 3rd party mice... but you'd have to install the software if you want to change the options/settings
if you get a mouse get a renowned company like Logitech, Apple, or Microsoft... that's your best bet for out of the box compatibility |

I might just get a wireless mighty mouse. Thanks for the reply, the reason I got a generic mouse is that it's basically for video games.

i don't think the Mighty Mouse is ideal for gaming though (unless it's for regular use and the generic one for gaming) Logitech has cheap ones for sale that work right out the box (i have one)

I bought a Razer ProSolutions USB mouse and it works right out of the box. It's made for both Mac and Windows. I chose it mainly because I wanted a white mouse that would look good with my white Macbook and I wanted a very good quality mouse. Razer is well-known for their gaming mice.
