Is there a way to look at/organize my photos on my camera in iPhoto or anywhere before I import them? I only seem to be able to import all the pictures on my camera and THEN delete them or do anything to them. Is there a way to do this before hand?

There's Image Capture in the Applications folder if you want to manually select pictures you want to upload to your computer.

I always found it odd that Canon doesn't allow you to mount the camera on the desktop. Kind of jealous of my friend's Sony or Nikon. He can just browse them like it were a mountable drive.

yea, that's what I have, a Canon SD450, and I wanted to be able to do that... oh well 🙁

Eh... just spend $10 on a USB card reader and click and drag the photos you want. It's faster and more reliable than transferring from the camera by cable.
