Wasteland this please. Thanks. ^_^

I'm thinking about selling my Powermac, as it hardly ever gets used.

Specs :

466 MHz G4 Processor
1 GB RAM
GeForce 3 64MB Video card
48x24x48x16x Combo Drive
Zip 250 Drive
30 GB HDD

Very good comestic condition. Like I said, I just find myself using my main PC a lot more than this machine.

Its the Digital Audio model.

Lemme know how much its worth.

I have no idea what it would be worth, but I might be interested if the price is affordable. I have been trying to save up for a new iMac 20.

I think they go for more than that on eBay. Maybe 250?

I got my Sawtooth with 10.3, 450 Mhz, 512 RAM, 13 GB, and all the other stocked options for 200 a year ago.

That was a year ago. Prices keep going down and I think that machine is worth somewhere around the $150 region. Good luck!

Interested in any trades? I'm looking for a machine like this to "buy" then donate to my (non-profit) employer so I can have a Mac to update/manage our website.

I don't have a ton of cash around, but I could add to the trade a donation reciept for ~$200 from the 501(c)3 in question which makes a nice tax deduction!

A year is a long time. In the past G4 towers were overpriced, at least in regards to the relative power you were buying. With advent of the G4 mini a year ago (now had for ~$400) which clocks in at processor speeds on par with some of the higher end G4's - this has to drive down the value of a 4+ year old tower.

Not to mention, ebay prices are crazy and fluctuate depending on an individuals whim.

I've got the same speed machine. Two years ago I paid ~$300-325 shipped on eBay.

Mine had less ram, slower video card, no zip, but a bigger HD, airport, serial adapter, and two USB PCI cards (that were put to good use elsewhere).

It's a tough call ... some people would give you $75 just for an airport card.

Without any major upgrades like HDs, a better burner .... I'd try to shop around $250 give or take a bit.

(If you're interested, I'd trade for / buy the video card)

Sounds like you have a couple offers floating here. If you settle on a price, let me know. If I can afford it, I would be able to pick it up since I live and work so close to you.

BTW, does it come with an OS, and if so, which one? What would be the most recent OS it would be able to run?

Ouch.

Only 150-175?

I might as well keep the damn thing at that rate.

Speaking I traded a guy a Pentium 4 2.53 GHz computer system for this machine, and the computer was worth about 400 dollars, and this was three months ago.

Damn.

I'd be interested in trading for a 7800GS AGP card, or a 7600GT AGP card and some cash.

Its currently running Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.8.

Would the OS being staying on it if you were to get your investment back out of it?

Is it legal for me to do that with a Family Pack of Tiger? o.O' I dunno, I'm kind of in a gray area here. Because the OS is also installed on my iBook and my iMac.

Well, we could both just pretend that you never said that couldn't we?

Wink wink nudge nudge

Just trying to factor in if I would have to sink (what?) $100-150 into buying a new OS.

Ahhh Gee Mr Jobs, you see, I got this copy of Tiger from my "Uncle" Reamimation's family pack.

hehehehehe

Yeah, but in the end, you are going to have to name the dead presidents and how many of them. I'm not letting my iPod go and I don't have any of the other items. Just to let you know, I think you had a typo in your original description. You said it had a 30GB HD but your sig block says 80GB.

I'm not sure yet if I'm going to sell it or not.

It was 80GB, but then I pulled out the GeForce FX5500 and the 80GB HDD and put them into another machine.

After some careful consideration, I've decided not to sell this machine at this time, as this is my only desktop Macintosh thats expandable.

Mods, please lock and wasteland.

Sorry for all that were interested.
