Want to use my DV Camera for video conference
This is a one-shot deal. We are having a training session with our Oregon and Honolulu offices. The plan was to use Skype and a web-cam. The quality of the web-cam goes downhill very quick as one gets away from the camera (not surprising). So, I thought about using my AG-DVC30 or AX-DVC100B. Usually web-cams come with software which captures the video image to the screen. Is there a a program Mac/Windows that can use a standard DV camera as its' source. I would entertain any suggestions and appreciate all comments.
Thanks

iChat'll do that won't it?
But most DV cams will power down after 5mins or so, you could just set it to record to get round that and then you only have a problem after an hour when the tape runs out. |

You can use a DV camera, but don't expect DV quality video to be zipping across the regular internet.
