30gb ipod video black or white? buy now or wait

Hi guys, i have a few questions before i purchase my 30gb ipod video. I have a 2gb first gen nano (black)

1. Buy now or wait for true video ipod?
2. Black or White (white less visible scratches?)
3. Where can i buy that protective thing which i can stick onto my ipod, resistant to keys scratchin etc - im looking at something cheap

PS: Where can i can cheaper ipods besides apple.com?

I would have voted but the lovely, lucious, turd brown Zune was not an option.

It has a bigger screen, way cool WiFi song trading, a radio and a way cool points based tunes store. Did I also mention it was a lovely turd brown color?😱

... its not compatible with itunes/my macbook🙄

I would get a black refurb from the apple store. They're the older ones with the 14hr battery life and the screen isnt as bright as the ones out now but if that doesnt bother you, they are a great buy at $180.
