I started having an odd problem about a week ago. I have a 1GB 1st gen iPod Shuffle, and typically use it w/ a cassette adapter in my car to listen to podcasts. About a week ago, I was listening, and noticed that the sound was coming and going. Over the past week, I've noticed that the sound clipping seems to occur in areas of high volume (such as when a podcasts theme song plays).

I thought this may be related to the recent "Volume Limit" setting, and have experimented w/ various volume limit settings. I've also gone as far as to performing a "restore default settings" on my shuffle. Thus far, the problem persists. I haven't had much luck finding anything out on google. Has anyone else experienced this, or have any ideas on how I can resolve the issue?
