iPod .MKV to MP4 ? Is it possible ?

I have these .mkv video files...and Im trying to find a way to convert them to .mp4 so i can get em' on my iPod...

any thoughts or help ?
 
There was a thread about this recently if you want to search. The only option I've seen is iSquint, and it does a poor job, resulting in stuttery video.
