Printer colour adjustment

G5 10.4.8

Dear Team

I have an HP640C printer. The drivers were already installed. The print is too heavy and dark. The printer does not appear in colorsync 'devices' and nothing at all appears in 'profiles'. Therefore, there seems no way to adjust the print quality in any program.

The CD that came with the printer is for Classic so that is no help.

Any advice very welcome!

Thanks
