I have a Netgear router, and used to have WPA security on it. But, I just figured out that the Nintendo DS does NOT support WPA, so I decided to change the security to WEP. Yet, now that I have changed it, my Mac can't connect to the router. Does the mac support WEP?

Does the mac support WEP?

Yes. Occasionally, though, there are issues with how the password is provided. See if you can get the password out of the router in a different format. Also make sure you are using 128 bit WEP and not some weird one-off standard.

If you are having problems with the password being sent from your mac to your router, try placing a $ (dollar sign) before the WEP password...worked for me on my Linksys router. Good luck!

Wep

WEP is supported by apple, I run WEP both at home and at work, most DSL and cle wireless routers come now with WEP turned on by default.
