Will the new AAC format work in the old iPods??

can and does, as long as you update to iPod software 1.3.

it's sweet.

Yes. The iPod Update 1.3 will add AAC functionality to old iPods.

come on, did you really expect Apple to release something that wouldn't be backward compatible? this is Apple we're talking about, not Microsoft.😉 😛 🙂

Wow i just imported something to AAC and man i thought it wouldn't matter, but I can definately hear the diff. cool..i love apple.
